Crack is, Indeed, Whack

Can we talk for a minute about Whitney Houston dying?

I know it is sooo sad, and I feel bad for her daughter (for many reasons), but I am just not the least bit shocked.

Remember this, and this, and this? Homegirl had been essentially dying for years.

I think I'm not that sad because the Whitney I knew died years ago when she started free-basing crack in crappy hotel rooms.

I was WAY more devastated when Bernie Mac died. That remains my all-time greatest celebrity mourning of all time. Damn that brother was funny!

This is as alarming to me as it was when Michael Jackson died (i.e., NOT AT ALL). America: When you take drugs for a long time you put yourself at a high risk of dying. This is not new information.

If you are allowed to be surprised that Whitney Houston died, then I get to be surprised that pizza won't make me skinny. Fair enough?

Also, when you marry Bobby Brown, bad things are likely to happen. If you need the answers to anymore highly obvious questions, hit me up. I'll be here all day.

SMG

Anyone see the previews for The Ringer on the CW? Well it premieres tonight at 9pm, and it features a main character named Siobhan. Yes, that’s really how it’s spelled.

The only thing that would make me happier than Sarah Michelle Gellar making her TV comeback as a character named Siobhan (pronounced, Shivon), would be if Whitney Houston made her music comeback by singing the theme song to the show – “My Name is Not Siobhan”…It’s funny because the show is about a case of mistaken identity (her "name is not" Siobhan)…And because it’s a terrible name.

I know I’ll be tuning in!

Random Acts of Diva

On my walk to work today, something really beautiful happened.

I was about to pass by a totally unsuspecting Asian gentleman, when he looked my dead in the eyes, and burst into song.

I didn't recognize the song (the lyrics were something like "Let the voice that's deep inside of you..." then he was out of hearing range), but I do know that it was in the same key as "All at Once" by the formerly amazing Whitney Houston. And that, according to my research, is they key of Bb.

I hope this fine young man has a great day today, because thanks to him, I know I sure will!

WOW

Whitney needs to hang up the mike ASAP.

Check out this article.

The pictures are hilar.

Some people say, "Once a diva, always a diva." But I think Whitney just proved that to be untrue. More like, "Once a diva, sometimes a haggard washed up lady who used to have the voice of angel."
