ABCs of keeping it real

Recently I've seen these "ABCs" on a lot of blogs I read. I know mine isn't really a "personal" blog so to speak, but I want to do it anyway because I'm that interesting.

A. Age: 27 as of Tuesday...grrr

B. Bed size: Queen allegedly, but it feels like a twin now that my husband started snoring

C. Chore you hate: Anything involving bathrooms

D. Dogs: No. I told my husband the only way I'd get a dog is if we could name her Diva. So I think that means we will never get a dog. My plan is working!

E. Essential start to your day: Day hate #1

F. Favorite color: Blue

G. Gold or silver: Duh...divas want both

H. Height: 5'8"

I. Instruments you play: Divasayswhat.com

J. Job title: Records Assistant - fabulous I know

K. Kids: Not that I know of ;)

L. Live: Chapel Hill

M. Mom’s name: Miss Anne, wife of Papa Teve

N. Nicknames: Pee Wee, Mer, Merster, Mar, Diva

O. Overnight hospital stays: Yessum, I was born with a few extra accessories - not genetalia related

P. Pet peeve: Infinite, read the blog

Q. Quote from a movie: "Dee, when your allergies act up, take out your nose ring."

R. Right or left handed: Right

S. Siblings: My Bis! (bis = big sis)

T. Time you wake up: Around 7:30am

U. Underwear: A diva never tells

V. Vegetables you dislike: Sadly, there is almost nothing that I won't gladly eat.

W. What makes you run late: Absolutely nothing. To be late is to imply that you don't think other people's time is important. Being late is NOT diva.
X. X-Rays you’ve had: Foot, arm, teeth

Y. Yummy food you make: I try to make everything yummy because I LOVE cooking!

Z. zoo- favorite animal: I do not heart animals
Any surprises?!?

I Heart Birthday Discounts

Last night was one for the books in terms of good deals. I was so high off discounts that I convinced myself I was the next Suze Orman, only not a lesbian.

Thanks to a 15% off Birthday card from Anthropologie, and a little patience with a gift card from Christmas, I got a $98 dress from Anthro last night for only $1.73 out of my pocket!

I also got a $40 Banana Republic shirt for $15 because I've been saving a $10 reward card that I coupled with my $15 Birthday reward card. Both items are perfect for my trip next week to...wait for it...Puerto Rico!

And I also got a "pedicure" for free thanks to a promotion I found in the newspaper.

Basically I got $175 worth of stuff and services for only $26.73, including tip for the "pedicure."

That's wicked awesome, eh? It pays to sign up for all that Anthro card, BR Visa, etc. crap sometimes! I ain't scurred to be the crazy lady with coupons ;)

I wish it was my Birthday everyday!

Holy Chickens that's a lot of crazy

After what can only be called a nightmarish sleep, post-Charlie Sheen 20/20 special last night, it's official. The man is bat shit crazy.

The only thing I'm unsure of is which part of his nutzo persona is the craziest to date.

The fact that he calls those busted girls "goddesses"?

The fact that his heart hasn't exploded from doing "5 gram rocks", strenuous exercise, and allegedly never sleeping?

Or his out-of-nowhere obsession with all things space-related? I recall the mention of being "a rock star from Mars," "riding on a Mercury surfboard," having "Adonis DNA," and a brain that is "not of this terrestrial world."

Apparently the man likes his Star Wars as much as he likes his crack rock and crazy pills!
And how many times can a grownass man use the word "DUH!" in a nationally broadcast television interview without realizing what a dbag he sounds like?!

Thank heavens his sons were taken away from him last night. Home is NOT wherever you are when you are certifiably insane!

*I will give a vile of Charlie Sheen's tiger blood to anyone who can tell me where I got the title for this post.

Awkward...Party of 3

There needs to be a warning before each episode of the Bachelor. Not about the gratuitous makeout sessions. But about the highly inappropriate level of awkwardness. This show is not appropriate for children.

I couldn’t watch this show with someone else even if I had friends here to watch it with. It’s that uncomfortable. Every time I watch it I find myself looking around me making sure no one else is there.

I feel like I’m watching a nude scene with my grandparents, but my grandparents aren’t here. That’s how uncomfortable it is.

This is an actual quote from last night’s episode, said after a very awkward silence: “What do you think about mosquito nets?” That’s hot stuff people. Romance at its finest.

Who does everyone think he's going to pick!? I know it's not going to be mosquito net girl!

Bills of Chills

I would really like to think that I had something to do with this after yesterday's in depth political analysis of the situation in Libya.

Usher, Beyonce, and the original MC have been called upon to donate or give back the money they earned from performing for Qaddafi on NYE 2009.

Article here.

I sure hope they do. That money is tainted!

In the meantime, can we talk about how many different ways Qaddafi spells his name? He sure is making it hard on those of us who are not normally politically inclined!

Happy Birthday to Me

While turning 27 on a Tuesday is pretty much not even worth mentioning, there are some celebratory facts about this day.

March 1 Birthdays read like a who's who of people who have helped shape the world. Here are just a few:

Justin Bieber - Happy 17th lil guy!

Mark Paul Gossler - You'll always be Zack Morris to me!

Harry Caray - If I was a hotdog, I would indeed eat myself!

The librarian at my church when I was in Kindergarten - Keep it real girlfriend!

And one I'm not at all thrilled about - Ke$ha...whomp whomp you showerless robot
