Target for Lunch

Sometimes I go to Target and I look at the food court that greets you immediately upon entering, and I can't help but wonder -
Who are the people that come all the way to Target just to have a meal?

And better yet, who are the people who come to Target and can't make it all the way through a 30 minute shopping trip without a giant bag of popcorn to carry around in their cart?

I get that Targets have everything except cigarettes because they are awesome and wholesome.  But I really don't get the consumers who go there to get toilet paper, Tide, and a personal pan pizza on site.

But maybe, more than anything, I just don't want to be tempted by greasy and fragrant foods right by the bathing suit section, and in the land where disposable income goes to die.  It's like going to the grocery store hungry.  Not safe.

From Target to Me to You

Somebody please go buy this dress at Target before they are all sold out.  They are SO cute!  They look like a lot of Lilly Pullitzer dresses I've seen in recent summer seasons.  But guess what!?  Instead of the $200+ that Lilly would charge you, Target will only charge you $24.99!!!

They, especially the green, look less "lacy" and more classy in person.

What. A. Steal!

I absolutely love the blue and green colors.  It also comes in white and black.  I can just picture the belle of the ball/any Southern bridal shower wearing this and fooling people into thinking she all big money.

Unfortunately the smaller size was too short and the larger size was too large, so I didn't get one.  Don't you sometimes which there was a size called a Smedium or a Marge?  You can't just put me in a medium sized box Target!

Someone I know has to buy this.  I can't find the link online but they are in store now and you will just beat yourself up if you see this on some stylish lil' thang next spring and don't have one of your own!

Too big to fail fit

It happens every year.

I make the pilgrimage to Target, hoping to find cute bathing suits with even more adorable prices.

And every year I leave defeated bymy inability to fit into even what, according to Target, is an XL.

I took the liberty of doing a size comparison while I was in the dressing room for dramatic effect. (And to spare you from the actual sight of me in the bikini).

In my mind, an XL should be larger than the average bar of soap, which this one is NOT...and which you would be able to see if I'd turned the dang bar of soap vertical. Oops!

I bring this up only because it's miserable enough looking for waterproof pieces to showcase your big butt and boobs if you ain't "got it goin' on". Don't add insult to injury by making me pay top dollar and shop in a specialized section of J.Crew.Com for a top that fits.

Btw, in case you were wondering what it feel like to not even be able to wear the biggest size of something at a store, the answer is: Not that awesome.

I thought Target was for the regular people of this consumer-hungry world! And people with regular bodies :(

Any curvy ladies out there know a place to get non-XS suits on the cheap??
