Bye Bye Bath Mat

Recently I went in my husband's bathroom (I have to spot check it every once in a while to make sure we aren't violating any epic health codes).  I noticed that his bath mat was missing.

I asked him about it and he replied, "Hmm, I don't know where it went.  Maybe my brother accidentally took it home with him."

Hold the phone.

First of all,  how in the name of the Martha Stewart Home Collection, could you possibly lose a bathmat?

Second of all, people don't "accidentally" take bathmats home with them, but great suggestion.

It's about 3 weeks and still no sign of the bathmat.  I'm actually so confounded by the loss that I am not even mad.  Kind of like when Baxter ate a whole wheel of cheese.  I guess I'll be heading to Bed, Bath, and Beyond this weekend for a replacement.  Will male wonders never cease?

Cross This

Living with a boy never gets old.

I walked into our hallway last night to turn off a light and was more than a little startled to be greeted by the site of this:

Wtf?!

That, my friends, is a crossbow.  And I have no earthly idea what it is doing there.  I don't even know who it belongs to.  Or why, late on a Thursday night, one brought it out to play.

I know for a fact Grant isn't going hunting anytime soon because we are going to Chapel Hill this weekend (YAY!!!!).  So I'll just have to assume that he thought it needed some fresh air.

I know girls do weird things too, but there is really no female equivalent to inexplicably putting a crossbow on a bench.

Yesterday I was talking to a guy friend whose parents are coming in to town this weekend. He saw that the Vagina Monologues were performing at UNCW at jokingly suggested that he take his parents there.

Then there was a moment of silence...

"Wait, what is that show? Are there actual, talking vaginas?"

Oh, men. You never cease to amaze me. I admit, I have no idea what the show is about, but I know it's not talking private parts. Sorry to use the "v" word twice, but that's just amazing. And so physically impossible.

Opposites are confusing

I think I have collected enough evidence over the last decade to firmly confirm that, indeed, women and men are from different planets.

I won't go into specific details. But I will say that I 100% don't understand the way men think or act. Sometimes I actually think my head might explode with confusion and frustration.

That being said, I'm sure some guys think I'm a crazy loon who has a blog about divas and is OCD and controlling, but that's beside the points.

Guys are wierd.

I love them! But guys are wierd.
